The dark woodland creek reflects the contrasting warm golden peach sunset between shadowed snowbanks. Water, especially in winter is a favorite subject for me to paint. Water has a spiritual connection which represents purity and refreshing one’s soul. Snow evokes a sense of stillness and depth. It is these qualities that I want to express to my viewers.
