Passenger Seat, Adirondacks

This painting is from a series I'm creating of scenes I have witnessed, from various road trips, while my husband drives and I'm in the passenger seat. The viewer sees just a sliver of the road in the lower left corner, but the focus is on the beautiful mountains and fall colors in the tree line on the horizon. You get the feeling that fall is just blossoming as we still see the green grass and flowers in the foreground but one can sense the change of seasons in the cool mountain colors in the distance.
