Portrait of a Man Made of Tissue Paper

Portrait of a Man Made of Tissue Paper, Figure & Portrait
Portrait of a Man Made of Tissue Paper
Portrait of a Man Made of Tissue Paper depicts a figure that embodies fragility, both physical and emotional. The face, constructed from overlapping thin pink folds, evokes a delicate, almost translucent vulnerability—contrasting sharply with the strength and definition one might expect in reality. This juxtaposition invites the viewer to question how strength and fragility coexist within us.

As the torso, rendered in vibrant blues and oranges, transitions into the fragile pinks and reds of the face, the composition suggests a powerful narrative: that the burdens we carry, our stresses and emotional weights, accumulate and manifest above the shoulders. The piece challenges us to confront the fragility of identity and the unseen pressures that shape who we are.
