Beyond the Rise

Plein Air painting with a friend at a tulip farm. Typical Oregon spring, the day was cool and sunny to cloudy to storm threat to warm and sunny. We painted together and apart, interacting with farm visitors and watched hot air balloons inflate and rise on the breeze. The tulip farm is a major attraction every spring; a riot of saturated colors and crowds of enthusiastic humans of all ages emerging from their winter hibernacula to bask in the joy of the first burst of spring. It was a wonderfully exhausting day.
