Miniature. Silence. Winter in Kemeri.
In the winter of 2023, I painted a view of the snow-covered houses in my home village of ?emeri, behind my garden. It was a quiet, windless, cold, snow-filled day, when the sky was one tone. When I went outside, it seemed that the world had fallen silent. That winter, several works and versions of these houses were created. In this work, I wanted to show the power of silence, focusing on the nature of lines and color tones. This work was included in the 10th J?zeps P?goznis Art Award in Latvian Landscape Painting - competition finalists' exhibition and official catalog.
