Sailboats at Anclote River Park

I have always wanted to paint some sailboats and realized that close by was a park that had many anchored there. I didn't like the orange buoys so I removed them from the photo before doing a small 5x7 study. Then I painted it again on a 16x12 oil-primed linen panel. The most difficult part was the rigging. I wanted it to look effortless but it actually took a few tries. Though I'm not normally a landscape artist, I wanted to do this as a gift for someone.
