This bird really knew how to strut his stuff. I took reference photos of this guy and his cohorts while visiting a farm. I wanted to capture the chaos of the scene (flying feathers, straw and debris, vocal encounters, etc.). I wanted the big guy to be my focal point by making the other birds more abstracted. I felt using palette knives best conveyed this scene and the energy and vigor of the boss!
