This painting is from a scene I witnessed while dining at the Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club. The sunsets there are truly spectacular and this one was no exception. Oil paints are a great medium for capturing the rich, deep colors like you see in the sky. Painting this one was pure joy! I confess I also got a kick out of placing the golfers on the putting green too.
