Twin eucalyptus trees soaring toward the sky just outside the terrace of Santa Barbara's El Encanto Hotel drew me toward this scene, as I glimpsed the lights of the city between their trunks. To me, it was a composition that perfectly illustrated the meeting of heaven and earth.
