Crash Course

This piece captures the raw power and fleeting beauty of a crashing wave, frozen in time. Using oil paints, I layered transparent glazes to create depth and movement within the water, allowing light to filter through the crest of the wave. A combination of soft blending and bold, impasto brushstrokes brings out the contrast between the foamy turbulence and the smooth, glassy surface beneath.

Inspired by my deep connection to the ocean, this painting reflects the ever-changing rhythm of the sea—both chaotic and serene. It embodies nature’s force and fluidity, inviting the viewer to experience the energy of the moment.
