"I explore urban life, migration, and multiculturalism. I seek out spaces where history still lives—shaped by generations of immigrants, their faith, and the remnants of old industries. I’m inspired by Jack Kerouac, whose brash yet poetic voice drives me to seek the lively and the intoxicated, and by James McNeill Whistler’s nocturnal pursuits, which lead me to contemplate hidden atmospheres and subdued colors. At other times, I’m simply running through the many neighborhoods, following my muse. I was born in the right place at the right time. I love my city."
