This oil painting is Flagg Pond, a quiet little pond near the ocean at North Litchfield, SC. At the end of the day, the slanting rays of the sun light up a couple of pine trees that have grown bent from years of winds and hurricanes but learned to twist with the elements rather than fall to them.
