Flight at the Edge of Dawn

I had driven down to the Pinckney Island Wildlife reserve before daylight to catch the dawn spilling onto the saltmarsh. I wanted to capture the day beginning and the wildlife beginning to stir. The pink glow gave the scene a sense of warmth despite the chilly temperature. Oil on linen.
